GSP Construction
THE BEGINNING
On the 24th of June 1991 the GSP board and the Government, signed the exchange agreement for the old Stadium in order to start the construction of the new modern GSP Stadium. |
On the 19th of November 1992, GSP promulgated a competition for the plan of the new stadium. On the 28th of June 1992 with the approval of The Cyprus Civil Engineers and Architects Association, the project was given to THEO DAVID KAL ENGINEERING. The construction was undertaken by the firm A. PANAYIDES CONTRACTING LTD. The dream was about to start. The board was watching the first steps of the new stadium with great pleasure, and they were ready to see their dreams come true. |

A few months later a splendorous ceremony was organized for the foundation stone from the President of Cyprus Mr Glafkos Klirides in the presence of many people from the sports community. |
THE PROGRESS / COMPLETION
With correct procedures, the board is watching the progress of the construction and feels happy. Everything goes as planned and soon the new athletic center will be ready. It going to be a full complex for athletics just like it has to be in order for the club to accomplish its cause of establishment. |

After a 3 year hard work the project is completed. The outcome is more than fantastic. The GSP Athletic center is ready for use, giving the chance to the club athletes to reach to the top after many years again.

THE OPENING CEREMONY
On the 6th October 1999 the opening ceremony took place by the President of Cyprus Mr Glaukos Klerides in the presence of all political parties, Cyprus Sports Organization and many friends. |
GSP HOTEL
In 2003 the construction of the hotel began. It's the last step for the completion of the Athletic Center. This project was a subsidy from Cyprus Sports Organization. It gives the chance to athletes from all over the world to come here and train, using all the facilities the GSP provides. |
